: : : I have some steep banks, pond as well as road side and would like to know what make or model of sickle bar mower to purchase to handle this job. I am talking 45 degees plus or minus horizontal here. Anyone out there that has solved this problem with a certain brand ro model,, please contact me. Thanks Chuck

: : do it by hand to be safe or you can get a bushhog that you can elevate to the contour of the land.

: Stoney, I plan on keeping my tractor on the flat, need a long sickle bar that can reach up on the bank or down as the case may be. Thanks for the suggestion, but I have to much to do by hand. About a mile or more.

I have an IHC 1100 mower with a 7 ft. blade that is belt driven and has a knockle that permits blade to operate at angles without pounding. I am interested in selling it, email me an address and I will send you a few pages from the owner manual. Good luck.
