: : I'm considering purchasing an early 70's JD 2030 diesel with 3600 hours.
: : Is this a reliable model? I don't see many on dealers lots and am wondering if it will be difficult to find parts.
: : This will be a working tractor pulling hay equipment along side a JD 4230.
: : Any info or experience would be greatly appreciated.
: The John Deere 2030 may be the best tractor they ever made in my opinion. Parts are very easy to come by, as they made many many of these tractors. I'm surprised that you don't see many on dealers lots because my father sells used tractors and has sold more 2030s than any other tractor. They were replaced in the late 70s by the 2440 which is also an excellent tractor.
