The USITC decision based upon Kubota's arguments
are absurd in the extreme and Pat's pouting that
we Kubota won't sell parts is strictly economic
and nothing else. The no rops, PTO shield, and
seat belts justification wants for reason. One need
only look at any tractor of pre-rops vintage and
see that JD, Ford, Chase and the rest are being
sold by dealers, including Kubota dealers selling
trade-ins, WITHOUT rops, shields or seat belt.
The no parts or service support is not a
justification for exclusion of grey market
Kubotas. Its just an excuse to keep REASONABLY
priced tractors from American consumers.
Let those who want parts and service and $200
worth of safety gadgets pay the extra thousands.
I was buying a Kubota when I came across these
arguments. Was but won't. I'll buy a grey and
post it clearly that nobody but I am responsible
for my tractor, my safety, my parts aquisition
and my service. I admit that taking personal
responsibility pre-dates the thinking of most
courts and attorneys; Kubota weak arguments by
their attorneys included.
